Psychosocial Recovery Coaching

Support that walks beside you through life’s challenges and growth

Living with a psychosocial disability can make daily life feel uncertain or overwhelming at times. Recovery is rarely a straight line, and every person’s journey is unique. What truly makes a difference is having the right support beside you.

Our Psychosocial Recovery Coaching service is designed to support people who want to move forward with greater confidence, stability, and connection. Whether you are rebuilding routines, navigating mental health services, or working towards personal goals, we are here to walk alongside you.

We believe recovery is personal. Our role is not to direct your path, but to support you as you build the life that feels meaningful and fulfilling to you.

What is psychosocial recovery coaching?

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching is an NDIS-funded support for people living with psychosocial disability. It combines practical coaching with a strong understanding of mental health recovery.

A Recovery Coach works closely with you to strengthen your independence, build resilience, and connect you with the right supports in your community.

Through Recovery Coaching, we can support you to:

• Understand your NDIS plan and use your funding effectively
• Build confidence in managing daily routines and responsibilities
• Develop practical life skills that support independence
• Create a personalised recovery plan based on your goals
• Connect with mental health services and community supports
• Navigate difficult periods with steady and compassionate guidance
• Strengthen relationships with family, community, and natural supports
• Advocate for your choices, preferences, and rights

Recovery Coaching focuses on both practical progress and emotional wellbeing, helping you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Our approach

We believe meaningful support begins with listening.

Every person has their own story, strengths, and vision for the future. We take the time to understand what matters most to you and work together to build supports that reflect your goals and values.

Our approach is guided by:

• Respect for your lived experience
• A person-centred and strengths-based approach
• Flexible support that adapts as life changes
• Honest and clear communication
• Collaboration with your wider support team

Where needed, we may also work alongside other professionals such as occupational therapists, psychologists, doctors, housing services, and community providers to ensure your supports are well connected.

You do not need to have everything figured out. We are here to support you as you take each step forward.

Understanding recovery

Recovery means different things to different people.

For some, recovery may involve reconnecting with community or rebuilding daily routines. For others, it may mean focusing on stability, wellbeing, or small steps forward each day.

There is no single definition of recovery.

We support you to define what recovery looks like in your life and help you develop the confidence, tools, and support network needed to move towards it.

Every step forward is meaningful.

What you can expect

When working with a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, you can expect:

• A consistent coach who takes time to understand your goals

• Support during challenging periods or major life transitions

Recovery coaching and support coordination

Both Recovery Coaching and Support Coordination are NDIS supports, but they serve different purposes.

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching focuses on mental health recovery, personal growth, and strengthening everyday life skills. It often involves more regular and hands-on support.

Support Coordination focuses on helping participants understand and implement their NDIS plan by connecting them with appropriate providers and services.

In some situations, participants may receive both supports to ensure their needs are fully supported.

Taking the next step

If you are considering Psychosocial Recovery Coaching or would like to explore whether this support may be right for you, we would be happy to talk with you.

We believe everyone deserves support that recognises their strengths, respects their experiences, and encourages their potential.

Together, we can work toward building a life that feels more stable, connected, and hopeful.
